The Peter B. Gustavson School of Business is a leader in integrating curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and a prominent contributor to business research particularly in its areas of expertise: International Business, Entrepreneurship, Service Management, and Sustainability. Gustavson, one of the few North American schools accredited by both EQUIS and AACSB, as well as an early signatory to the UN Global Compact Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), is home to more than 1,300 students across its Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Business Administration, Master of Global Business, Master of Management degrees, and PhD in International Management and Organization programs – all of which have an international focus embedded in its curricula as well as a strong co-op component.
The Gustavson School of Business is now seeking to appoint a new Dean for a five-year term, to commence on July 1, 2022. Reporting to the Vice-President Academic and Provost, the Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer for the School of Business and a member of the senior leadership team of the University of Victoria. The new Dean will have a track record of administrative, academic, and fundraising success, and demonstrably align with Gustavson’s core value pillars: International, Integrative, Innovative, and Socially Responsible/Sustainable.
The Dean, who must be eligible for appointment at the rank of full professor in the faculty, will lead with a collaborative spirit, inspiring the full potential of Gustavson’s students, staff, faculty, and partners, while elevating the faculty’s commitment to Indigenization, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
