    The Business Schools Association of Canada (BSAC) is proud to announce that Dr. Michael Henry was elected to a two-year term as Chair of the Board of Directors in November 2022. Dr. Henry previously served as a member of the BSAC Board from 2017 to 2021 in the position of Secretary-Treasurer. BSAC is pleased to count on his continued leadership on the Board in his new role as Chair.

    BSAC is the association of university faculties and schools of business and management in Canada and is dedicated to working with Canadian members and international partners, towards the continuing development of excellence of business education in Canada. BSAC's mission is to promote quality in management education and the professional development of business school administrators through events, research, information services, and representation.

    Dr. Henry is currently the Dean of the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics at Thompson Rivers University. He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alberta, and undergraduate degrees from the University of Ottawa and Brock University in Social Sciences and Arts. His career has spanned the private, public and non-profit sectors. Dr. Henry previously served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta as well as held the role of Executive Director of non-profit health organizations and worked in construction-related private enterprise and consulting. He has worked for two decades as a university academic administrator.

    BSAC truly appreciates Dr. Henry’s ongoing commitment to the Canadian business school community and his contribution towards the continued success of BSAC.

    BSAC is pleased to present the report A Matriarch Creation Âcimowin (Cree Word for Story) [Video, online].


    This study, prepared by Delilah Mah under the academic supervision of Melissa Dobson, from the Cape Breton University, was supported by BSAC as part of its annual research grants competition.

    BSAC is pleased to present the report State of Education for Sustainable Development and Responsibility in Canadian Business Schools.


    This study, prepared by Houston Peschl,  Ilyup (Ian) Sug , Emma Ripka and Sara Canizales, from the University of Calgary, was supported by BSAC as part of its annual research grants competition.

    The Business Schools Association of Canada (BSAC), in April 2021, discussed and agreed to conduct a research project in conjunction with Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) into how Canadian Business Schools have been impacted by COVID-19 and the changes that may occur in the future as a result.

    The aim of the project is to provide business school leaders with a resource detailing how their experiences and visions for the future align or differ from those of their peers across Canada.

    The project report , Leading the Way in the Covid-19 Recovery, is available to BSAC members and the wider community here.

    CFBSD is changing its name to reflect its growing scope of activities.  As of July 1, 2020, we will officially be the Business Schools Association of Canada (BSAC)!
