    The Opportunity

    The Department of International Business, Marketing, Strategy & Law in the School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in the following area of teaching, at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing 1st of July 2023, subject to final budgetary approval.

    • Marketing (preference will be given to candidates with expertise in digital marketing).

    The candidates for the above position should hold a Ph.D. in the relevant area of teaching expertise and will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and an ongoing research program.

    You should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a teaching dossier (including your teaching philosophy, and recent teaching evaluations), a statement of research interests, and a sample of your research work.     The Opportunity

    The Department of Decision Sciences in the School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment in Supply Chain Management at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2023, subject to final budgetary approval.

    You will be part of our team of faculty in supply chain and operations management. You will teach our existing undergraduate courses in supply chain management (business logistics management, procurement and supply management, supply chain risk management, and supply chain process management) and help develop additional courses in this area. Your primary area of research should be aligned with supply chain management or a closely related field. As a faculty member in the discipline, you are expected to be active in building and fostering industry relations and in promoting the student co-op program within Alberta and beyond.

    Qualifications

    You will hold a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management or a closely related field. You should demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and an ongoing research program in areas related to, but not limited to, supply chain management, logistics, and procurement. Additional areas of research can include operations research, business analytics, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology. Candidates with professional/industry experience in supply chain management, especially in logistics management and procurement in the Canadian context, will be highly desirable.

    The Opportunity

    Our department is one of the few departments with an academic program in Insurance and Risk Management across Canada. You will oversee this program and teach our existing courses in insurance and risk management and in decision sciences, and help develop additional courses in this area. You are expected to maintain an ongoing program of academic research in risk management or a related field in decision sciences. As a faculty member in the discipline, you are expected to be active in building and fostering relationships with stakeholders in the insurance industry.

    Qualifications

    You will hold a Ph.D. in risk management, actuarial sciences, applied economics, management science, decision science, or a closely related field.
