The Opportunity

The Department of Organizational Behaviour, Human Resources Management, and Management in the School of Business invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track appointments, at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 01, 2023, subject to final budgetary approval.

The successful applicants will teach a variety of undergraduate courses, pursue academic and/or community-based scholarly activity, and work collaboratively to contribute service to the operation of the University.

Teaching areas include, but are not limited to, introductory and advanced courses in Management (e.g., introduction to management, managerial skills, leadership, change, and business consulting) and specializations in Organizational Behaviour (e.g. contemporary organizational behaviour, ethics, leadership, and innovation) or Human Resources Management (e.g. introduction to HR, employee and labour relations, compensation, and health and safety).

The successful applicants will hold a Ph.D. in a related field (or evidence of imminent completion), demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate education, present an ongoing research program, and provide evidence of teaching excellence at the post-secondary level. Pedagogical innovation, including implementing universal design for learning approaches and work-integrated learning projects, is highly appreciated.

Professional / industry experience in management or human resources management is desirable, as is holding a professional designation or having strong capacity to attain a professional designation.
