The Faculty of Business Administration is committed to excellence and relevance in its teaching, research and community engagement. Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in Finance at the rank of assistant professor with a proposed commencement date of July 1, 2023. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is subject to budgetary approval.

Applicants should have or be very near completion of a PhD or a DBA, have demonstrated research productivity commensurate with the rank and a commitment to teaching and research in a university environment. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and conduct research in any area of finance. An interest for innovative course delivery, experiential learning, relevant practitioner experience, and professional certifications such as CFA would be an advantage. Trading room, student managed investment fund, and/or online financial database experience would be considered an asset.

If the successful candidate has not completed an earned doctorate, they shall be appointed to a regular term, non-renewable three-year appointment at the rank of assistant professor. If the candidate completes all the requirements for the doctorate during the first 24 months of the term appointment, they shall begin a tenure-track appointment following completion of the requirements of the degree.

The Faculty of Business Administration is a leader in management education and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Approximately 2,100 students are registered in the undergraduate programs of the Faculty, with another 200 students completing graduate programs, including a PhD, an MBA, an MBA in Social Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, and an MSc in Management.
