Canadian Mennonite University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Business and Organizational Administration. We seek individuals who have the capacity to enhance the program depth of the growing Redekop School of Business, within the context of CMU’s commitment to interdisciplinary education. Welcome areas of specialization or strength include accounting, management and leadership, human resources, business policy, marketing, entrepreneurship, international business, and business and development. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. Preference will be given to a candidate with a terminal degree (PhD, DBA). If a candidate does not have a terminal degree, they must demonstrate a pathway to a terminal degree.

The Redekop School of Business values innovation and reconciliation towards a vision of a flourishing common good by equipping people to manage private, public, and civil society organizations. The successful candidate will join CMU’s business and larger faculty, together delivering CMU’s business programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. This individual will also teach at the graduate level in CMU’s Master of Business Administration program, offered in partnership with Eastern Mennonite University, Bluffton University, and Goshen College. The Collaborative MBA program emphasizes personal development and competency, relationships, and business without harm to people or the environment.

CMU is a small liberal arts and sciences university, a member of Universities Canada, committed to rigorous teaching and research. CMU is located in Winnipeg, a diverse and fast-growing city of about 800,000, with a vibrant cultural life, and excellent public amenities, schools, and health-care. CMU is rooted in the Mennonite tradition, a Christian standpoint emphasizing peace and community service. Business at CMU builds on the strong, interdisciplinary foundation of CMU’s larger teaching-and-research environment, with such distinctive areas of excellence as communications, economics, peace and conflict transformation studies, social entrepreneurship, and environmental studies.

(Finalists will offer a teaching demonstration and a research talk, as part of the interview process.)

The appointments may begin as early as July 1, 2024. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of applications will begin February 1 and will continue until the position is filled.
