    Position: Assistant Professor in Business Technologies and Analytics (10-month sessional)

    The Williams School of Business at Bishop’s University (Sherbrooke, Quebec) invites applications for a full-time, ten-month sessional position at a rank commensurate with qualifications and experience, in its Business Technology & Analytics area, starting July 1, 2023. The position will be subject to final budget approval. We are particularly interested in candidates with demonstrated research/industry expertise and teaching excellence in the area of Analytics, ERP systems and operations management.

    Candidates should have at minimum a completed Master’s degree in a relevant field and a demonstrated commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level in Business.

    Qualifications

    • The minimum qualification for consideration is a PhD or a Doctorate in Marketing or related discipline, preferably awarded within the past three years. Candidates with a PhD or Doctorate nearing completion will be considered for appointment as Lecturer (completion expected within a year of commencing).
    • Demonstrated competencies, teaching and/or research in the areas of Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, and/or Marketing Strategy.
    • Demonstrated drive, potential and vision to develop and maintain an innovative and active research program, pursue external funding, and possess a commitment to quality teaching.

    Applicants should have or be very near completion of a PhD or DBA, have demonstrated research productivity commensurate with the rank, and a commitment to teaching and research in a university environment.     Applicants should have or be very near completion of a PhD or a DBA, have demonstrated research productivity commensurate with the rank and a commitment to teaching and research in a university environment. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance and conduct research in any area of finance. An interest for innovative course delivery, experiential learning, relevant practitioner experience, and professional certifications such as CFA would be an advantage.
